At least, that’s what Stacey claims.
Duramax Diesel and Alison transmission modified by PPE to develop 600 horsepower and 1300 lb/ft of torque. Custom-fab four-link rear suspension and front suspension where the guys come and build it on-site. They must have spent $200k on this. But it’s a very cool build.
I’d never heard of Stacey David and though he annoyed me initially, the guy obviously has skills. (His hair still annoys me greatly...)
I’d have installed a mondo gasoline engine rather than the Duramax, but then I don’t have Stacey’s sponsors. Or skills.

The end result is pretty cool, of a bit too shiny. I watched this build on YouTube, but didn’t get around to finishing it.

Alternate Fact: You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make a shop/garage.

You probably could do something similar to that without all the money if you did all the work yourself, wanted none of the performance, and were willing to out Roadkill Roadkill.

Hey: I love Roadkill. Have you seen my
‘71 Vandura
mentioned here? My new aspiration is to drive it to and through the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2018.

Yeah, I know. But he’s skilled and he’s doing it right. I just have to try and ignore his hair.

Stacey used to be on a show called Trucks! back in the 90's on Spike TV. He left there in 05 and started a new show called GearZ on that was on a few different channels. I actually thought that show was long gone, but they just started their 11th season this month on Velocity HD.

Roadkill is awesome. I was referring to how the engineering on this would have to be fuel return on the boost caboose levels of janky to do this cheaply.
I have seen your van here a few times. You are going to have to do a full write-up on Power Tour when you get it there.

Not when you’re sponsored by Cornwell(he has equipment in the back of the shop that would make that stuff look cheap) you don’t.

I’ve always liked Gearz. Sometimes he does something a regular person can do and other times he doesn’t. Regardless it’s always interesting.

I mean I could do it. 4 and a half hours. In my sketch ass car? No one would be insane enough. Would definetly have to get a hotel room too.

Four hours? That’s it? Grandpa’s house was always a 9 hour drive growing up and now I live around 12 hours from my mom. I guess I’m used to it.

four hours in a car that hasn’t seen an oil change in at least ten years before I got it. with no interior or functioning radio. on OG brake lines.

Will you get a chance to do a shakedown before hand? Sleeping in the back wouldn’t be so bad. Not showering for a week would suck though. I will be rebuilding most of the mech on my car this summer but I would need to do a roadtrip before I made that big of a commitment.
